Winter Fishing

Just minutes from the dock and in the protected waters of the Prince Rupert Harbour, you will find some of the absolute best winter chinook fishing on the coast. These fish average 8-15 pounds, but every winter a few fish in the 30 pound range do get caught. This fishery is generally a bit slower than our Summer fisheries, and two to six fish would be considered a good day, but double digit days are not unheard of. Crabbing in the harbour is spectacular in the winter as well.
